Should you tag people? Absolutely!

Tagging people gives you the opportunity for more engagement! But on today’s #MinuteMonday, I also explain when NOT to tag to avoid being downgraded by the algorithm.

Listen below for my tips on when and when not to tag a person or business.

Action I want you to take:

  • When posting this week, determine when it might make sense to tag a person or business in your post.
  • If you don’t see a response shortly after you tag them, shoot them a note and offer them the opportunity to respond in the comments.
  • You can also tag in the comments. Use LinkedIn and experiment with tagging someone in the comments of a post you think applies to them.
  • Feel free to tag me @CoreyPerlmanSpeaks (IG) and @CoreyPerlman(LinkedIn), and I’ll be sure to respond!

Be sure to stay tuned each week for more tips from my series Minute Mondays! 1 Minute ⏰ 1 Tip 💡

Have an awesome week!

P.S. I’m super excited to announce and recommend a new book from my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Cindy McGovern. Dr. Cindy has penned “Sell Yourself: How to Create, Live, and Sell a Powerful Personal Brand,” the playbook for creating, defining, and living your brand and your company’s brand authentically and unapologetically to help you grow your business.

“Why create a powerful personal brand if you’re not going to sell it? In this value-packed book, Dr. Cindy offers a unique framework for establishing your personal brand and then shows you how to properly amplify it to sell more and serve others. Not only did she pen this book, but she truly lives her message by being her authentic self and allowing her value to sell itself. “Create. Live. Sell.” Truly words to live by.”
