Note: While TikTok is a popular platform, it’s primarily used by a younger demographic. For businesses targeting an older audience, focusing on Instagram and LinkedIn can yield better results.

As of the latest data (July 2024)*, the majority of TikTok users are female (54.8%), and 45.2% are male. Split by age, the single largest group of TikTok users is male 25-34 year-olds (23.8%).

Young Adults (20-29 years): Users in this age range consume a broad range of content, including fashion, fitness, cooking, and professional advice.

Adults (30-39 years): This segment is interested in more practical content like DIY tutorials, parenting tips, and home improvement projects.

Older Adults (40+): Users aged 40 and above increasingly consume wellness content, travel guides, and lifestyle advice.
