Do borders and logos make photos less authentic?

As mentioned last week, Authentically Social is officially in my hands and soon will be in yours! I will let you know when it’s available for pre-launch, and it will be ready to ship on January 9th. I’m so excited to share this book with you and help you become more Authentically Social in 2024!

Speaking of authenticity, my friend and colleague, Radia Carr, excels at showcasing the great clients she serves on social media. In this week’s spotlight, Radia uses consistent branding around all of the authentic photos she posts. I was recently asked if using borders, logos, and other branding around a photo would negatively impact a post’s authenticity. This can vary on the types of posts and industry, but in this case, it is not negatively impacting Radia’s reach. She continues to get good engagement on these photos while keeping Dale Carnegie’s brand front and center at the same time. I would advise Radia to keep doing what she’s doing because it’s resonating with her network.

Bonus!

Did you notice the bold text near Radia’s name in the example above? LinkedIn has introduced a feature that allows us to include a hyperlink near our name to send connections to a desired location. You can easily add relevant text and a hyperlink to your profile by editing the top section. Turn on creator mode and scroll to the bottom to add this button to your profile.

Bonus Challenge!

This week, I challenged our clients to hold off reflecting on the year that was and, instead, use the next few weeks to work hard and sprint across the finish line. I’d like to offer you the same challenge. Watch this quick video and weigh in on how you plan to finish 2023 in a sprint (not trot) to the finish line!
