Don’t die with your music still in you . . .

As many of us do, I found myself taking a quick break this morning, scrolling through Facebook, when this photo appeared in my memories.

Oh boy, 15 years feels like a lifetime ago. I remember actually feeling overwhelmed and busy at the time. Before kids! LOL. But I also remember hearing that famous quote that I think was penned by Dr. Wayne Dyer, “Don’t die with your music still in you.” That really struck me, so I made a commitment to forgo fun hangout time with friends to cozy up at a coffee shop every Friday night to write my first book. At the time, I felt like sacrifices were made, but little did I know how much harder it would get.

Fast forward 15 years, and I’m excited to tell you that Authentically Social launches on January 18th.

It was a painstaking process to get this book written because I didn’t want to miss the moments with my family. In fact, my amazing wife, Jess, sent me to a hotel for three days to get it to the finish line. She reminded me of Dr. Dyer’s quote before I left. It wasn’t just me sacrificing—it was her too.

So, what does the above have to do with you?

What’s your music?
Is it still inside you?
Does it need to get out?
What sacrifices will you need to make to get it out into the world and into the hands of the people who need it most?

I hope you write it. I hope you share it. Because the world needs it.

Authentically Social will be available on Amazon on January 18th, and I sincerely appreciate your support in getting it out into the world. So many of us are doing it wrong by treating our socialmedia like billboards and brochures. It will never work that way. We must flip it from self-serving to serving others.
